Fall came*
Quietly sneaking up on me
All it took*
Was one look
All of a sudden the leaves have turned*
From fresh green to promising red
Suddenly I needed more then one cover on my bed*
Instead of freezing air condition
The heat had to be turned on*
The fever of summer had been gone
The color of grass turned into brown*
Slowly dying
Nature is waiting for winter to come
Playing hide and seek with our sun*
Which is turning colder every day
Showing the end of this year its way*
Foggy are the mornings now
Sometimes even frost on the ground*
The sky above us is making it's own special sound
Of birds trying to get together*
For their yearly journey to the south
Leaving their protective house*
Which gave them home from spring to fall
Another change of the season is heading our way
Each morning will show a different day*
This is the time for warm sweaters
For touching and loving*
For dreaming in the evenings
And glazing into candlelights*
Maybe sitting by an open fire
Snuggling close to your loved one *
Plans are being made*
For Thanksgiving or even Christmas
Hopes are raised for wishes to become true*
Someone to lean on when you feel blue
Families are getting closer together*
It is the spirit of a new season in our life
Everybody trying to forget the strive*
The haste and struggle throughout the year
A quiet and sentimental period soon will be here*
The birth of Christ is being near
Let us enjoy the quietness and peaceful time
Let us be thanksful and be kind*
It is beauty we will find
In our mind*
If we are searching
